of troop equipment and sees that it is in good condition. He works with
patrol quartermasters as they check out equipment and return it, and

Oversees the care and use of troop books, pamphlets and
merit badge counselor’s lists. He checks out the books to Scouts
and leaders and maintains record to ensure that everything is returned.
He also suggests if new material is needed and reports on the need to
repair or replace current books. |

Requirements:

Will have to attend a Den Chief training session from the
council. Works with a den of Cub Scouting and with their adult den leader.
Assists in den meetings, encourages Cub Scout advancement, and serves
as a role model for younger boys. Serving as den chief can be a great
first leadership experience for a Scout. |
